Bleaching

Polish your teeth! The color of your teeth significantly affects the appearance of your teeth and mouth.
Unfortunately, not everyone can have beautiful white and bright teeth, and each person’s tooth color is different. This depends entirely on the individual structure, function and oral flora around the teeth. In addition to caffeine-containing beverages and stimulants such as tea and coffee, red wine can also cause discoloration of the teeth. Some drugs or genetic problems are the factors that cause tooth discoloration and formation of deposits.

Bleaching treatment for your teeth – Function and Application

The whitening process is done with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), a substance that causes a chemical reaction (oxidation) of tooth colorants. The color scale includes several levels of white, but since each person has their own natural tooth color as mentioned above, 2-3 shades of color change on average can be achieved. Our dentist team in Turkey attaches great importance to a natural appearance, so the selected dental procedure is applied individually.

Bleaching procedure

In general, both healthy and decayed teeth (can be whitened after treatment of decayed teeth) can be whitened.

The point to be considered here is that the bleaching agent should be inserted into the exposed tooth in the teeth that have been removed (on the teeth that have undergone root canal treatment, after the treatment is completed. A special whitening gel is placed inside the tooth for this purpose. This technique is called walking Bleaching) and the treatment is ongoing. This is called teeth whitening in jargon.

Once you have decided which procedure you prefer, if you choose to whiten at home, you will receive a plastic splint (plaque) into which a gel-like bleaching agent has been added. To whiten your teeth as gently as possible, you should wear this splint for about 4-6 weeks!

It should also be checked regularly by your dentist. If you prefer the other form of teeth whitening, a highly concentrated bleaching agent (>0.1% H2O2) can be applied.

Teeth are covered with gum, rubber sleeves or a special sealant to provide healthy protection. (A special gel is applied to the gums at the beginning of the treatment to protect the gums) In the second step, the whitening agent is applied directly to the tooth surface, thus effectively polishing the teeth under the supervision of the dentist.

At the end of each whitening session, the bleaching agent is completely removed so you can see the final result directly. If necessary, this procedure can be repeated after a few days.

Also, we always recommend having a professional dental cleaning (PCR). Already before the teeth whitening process, the irritating deposits are removed.
