If there is an unpleasant odor or bleeding in the gums after flossing, you should search the causes with a detailed examination.

How is Root Canal treatment done?

At the beginning of the endodontic treatment, the damaged tooth is anesthetized and a rubber bridge (a rubber cover) is well closed to protect the oral cavity. Highly flexible nickel-titanium disposables are used to allow your dentist to penetrate the root canals well. After cleaning the opened canal, the root canals are measured with endometry (electrical resistance measurement. We use both ultrasonic rinsing solutions and a diode laser in Turkey, where it is difficult to remove bacteria with classical methods and to be 100% sterile.

How is periodontitis treated?

The purpose of periodontal dental treatment is to remove the soft and hard plaque residues formed in the gingiva from the top and bottom of the gingiva. Generally, it is possible to thoroughly clean the periodontal gums caused by gingival recession and destroy all bacteria. Otherwise, surgery with microscope magnification combined with regenerative measures or plastic corrections (for example, using top stitches) may lead to the desired result. Additional antibiotic therapy is recommended for particularly aggressive bacterial strains.

After about 4-6 weeks, you will be checked by your dentist so that the treatment result can be evaluated. In general, about 3-4 additional periodontal treatments can be done in the following year to minimize the risk.

Periodontics – About the periodontium apparatus

There are three main forms of disease that are most common in the field of periodontology: gingivitis, periodontitis, which is the main inflammation of the gums, periodontitis, which also affects the bones, and peri-implantitis of the bone surrounding a dental implant.

All Periodontitis is triggered by bacteria that irritate the gums in larger quantities (“biofilm”) mostly due to a lack of dental and oral hygiene.

The most common is periodontitis – or colloquial periodontitis. This is a chronic (slow-progressing) and infrequently aggressive periodontitis (rapid progression)

What is the average price of endodontic treatment in Turkey?

Prices vary according to treatment content. The longer a root canal treatment takes in Turkey, the more root canal cleaning means. This naturally reflects on material and equipment costs.

Do official health insurance companies cover Endodontic treatment?

Health insurance usually does not cover all costs and part of the endodontic treatment. If you are interested in treatments abroad, you can contact the Aesthetic Myra team.

How are gums treated?

In every dental disease that is not treated promptly and professionally, the entire Periodontium is destroyed over time. Due to the specific bacteria that constantly irritate the gums, the body’s own immune system defense leads to tissue destruction: The gums separate from the teeth, a degeneration of the bone occurs and the formation called periodontal pockets.

What factors play a role in the development of periodontitis?

In addition to existing systemic diseases such as genetic conditions, rheumatism or leukemia, stress are important factors in the development of Periodontitis. Also, statistically, smokers are more likely to have periodontitis, and the likelihood that treatment measures will not be successful is also quite high!
